Basketball Game Preview: Islesboro Central Eagles vs. Richmond Bobcats

Islesboro Central is 0-3 against Richmond since December of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Islesboro Central Eagles will get right back to it and host the Richmond Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Islesboro Central will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Pine Tree Academy, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Islesboro Central came out on top against Pine Tree Academy by a score of 40-27 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Richmond won against Sacopee Valley on Tuesday with 37 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Richmond walked away with a 37-26 win over Sacopee Valley. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly 11 points.

Islesboro Central's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Richmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
