Naperville North had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Naperville Central Redhawks on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Naperville North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-22, 25-17.

The victory got Naperville North back to even at 5-5. As for Naperville Central, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Naperville North and Naperville Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Huskies (ranked 100th) will meet Lyons (ranked 13th) at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Naperville Central will square off against Brother Rice at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (140 vs. 9).
