Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Griggsville-Perry

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Griggsville-Perry, but Garrett Woodward wouldn't allow it. The Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes came out on top against the Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans by a score of 40-33 on Tuesday thanks in part to Woodward, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. What's more, he also posted a 64% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January.

The win made it two in a row for Griggsville-Perry and bumps their season record up to 13-17. As for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Griggsville-Perry will challenge Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, they will host South County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia surely won't give up without a fight.
