Softball Game Preview: Christ the King Crusaders vs. Mountain Island Charter Raptors

Christ the King is 0-4 against Mountain Island Charter since March of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Christ the King Crusaders will challenge the Mountain Island Charter Raptors at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Christ the King has three straight victories, Mountain Island Charter has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Christ the King's win against Bradford Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Christ the King had just enough and edged out Bradford Prep 7-5.

Meanwhile, Mountain Island Charter scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 17-10 to Legion Collegiate Academy.

Camdyn Addington was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Reagan Hart, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5.

The victory got Christ the King back to even at 3-3. As for Mountain Island Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Christ the King suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Mountain Island Charter when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Christ the King avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
