Volleyball Recap: St. Maries Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If St. Maries was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kootenai on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lumberjacks came up short against the Kellogg Wildcats on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lumberjacks in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15, 25-14.

Kellogg was led to victory by Dakota Hoch and Jordyn Stutzke. Hoch had six aces and three digs, while Stutzke had six digs and two aces. Those six aces gave Hoch a new career-high.

St. Maries' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Kellogg, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Coincidentally, St. Maries and Kellogg will both be playing Timberlake the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lumberjacks will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
