Basketball Recap: Early Comes Up Short

Early was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 72-54 to the Brownwood Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-32 back in November.

Early's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Brownwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Early will square off against Eastland at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Early is facing Eastland at the right time seeing as Eastland is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Brownwood, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against La Grange at 10:40 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in La Grange's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
