Volleyball Game Preview: Mansfield Tigers vs. Boswell Pioneers

The Mansfield Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Boswell Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mansfield has 26 straight victories, Boswell has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Mansfield made easy work of Mansfield Legacy and carried off a 3-0 win.

Mansfield not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mansfield Legacy between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Boswell came up short against Lake Ridge on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Pioneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-17 in the first set.

Boswell started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-15, 25-11, 25-20.

Mansfield's victory bumped their record up to 42-1. As for Boswell, they now have a losing record of 18-19.

Mansfield beat Boswell 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
