Basketball Recap: St. Vincent Takes a Loss

If St. Vincent was riding high fresh off their 67-47 takedown of DeSoto last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Vincent Indians received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 64-49 to the Advance Hornets. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

St. Vincent has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Advance, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

St. Vincent will head out on the road to take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully St. Vincent likes a good challenge. As for Advance, they will be playing at home against Richland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Richland has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three contests.
