Softball Recap: Dimond's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Dimond's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the West Anchorage Eagles get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering the Lynx have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Katie MacDonald, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Rachel Whetten was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The victory snapped Dimond's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-10 record. As for West Anchorage, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Dimond has already played their next game (against Bettye Davis East Anchorage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Anchorage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
