Basketball Game Preview: Panorama Panthers vs. Pleasantville Trojans

After both having extra time off, the Panorama Panthers and the Pleasantville Trojans will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Panorama has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the third.

Last Friday, Panorama had to suffer through a 82-40 loss at the hands of Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Pleasantville came up short against Des Moines Christian last Friday, falling 59-36. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Panorama's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pleasantville, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Everything went Panorama's way against Pleasantville when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Panorama made off with a 62-38 victory. Will Panorama repeat their success, or does Pleasantville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
