Softball Recap: Heide Trask Find Success

Heide Trask barely beat Pender the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans' pitcher stepped up to hand the Patriots a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Dava Bullard's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taylor Sparkman, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Jalyn Reece-Murray was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Heide Trask hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive games.

Heide Trask's record is now 12-4. As for Pender, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6.

Heide Trask will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
