South Bend Saint Joseph had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Warsaw Tigers 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jacob Snyder looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
