Baseball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown lost against Portsmouth back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Islanders fell 7-3 to the Patriots. The Islanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Middletown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan LeVasseur, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was LeVasseur's first of the season.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Portsmouth, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Coming up, Middletown will host Narragansett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Portsmouth, they will venture away from home to face off against Barrington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
