Softball Recap: Mammoth Spring Comes Up Short

Mammoth Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Marshall Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-1 defeat back in March.

Mammoth Spring's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Marshall, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9.

Coming up, Mammoth Spring will take on Cedar Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marshall, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Mountain View on the 15th.
