Baseball Recap: Angleton Comes Up Short

Angleton was the 11-4 winner over Iowa Colony when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angleton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jay Zarate, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Angleton's record now sits at 11-10-1. As for Iowa Colony, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
