Baseball Recap: Paul Laurence Dunbar Takes a Loss

Paul Laurence Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Madison Central Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Paul Laurence Dunbar saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Carius, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Paul Laurence Dunbar's record is now 9-21. As for Madison Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paul Laurence Dunbar will host Mercer County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bryan Station at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
