Softball Recap: Vienna Eagles vs. Century Centurions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DuQuoin, Vienna was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Century Centurions 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 23rd.

Alli Vinson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Lily Lingle looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Millie Partridge, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddie Palmer, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Vienna's record now sits at 7-9. As for Century, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.
