Baseball Game Preview: Clyde Fliers vs. Huron Tigers

The Clyde Fliers will venture away from home to take on the Huron Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Clyde nor Huron posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Clyde fell victim to Galion and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to the Tigers. The Fliers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Ross hit Huron with a four-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Little Giants, falling 8-1. That makes it the first time this season the Tigers have let down their home crowd.

Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Clyde, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Clyde skirted past Huron 7-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fliers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
