Basketball Recap: Manalapan Takes a Loss

Manalapan was the 55-48 winner over Howell when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Manalapan Braves fell 63-52 to the Howell Rebels on Friday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manalapan's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Howell, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Manalapan and Howell are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Manalapan will square off against Old Bridge on Thursday. Old Bridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Manalapan likes a good challenge. As for Howell, they will take on Kingsway on Thursday.
