Volleyball Recap: Coolidge Takes a Loss

If Coolidge was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Apache Junction on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Florence Gophers on Monday. That makes it the first time this season the Bears have let down their home crowd.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-27, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Lexie Hoffman, who had eight digs and one assist.

Coolidge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Florence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 24-10 record this season.

Coolidge has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Globe on the 21st. As for Florence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Apache Junction on the 21st.
