Cardington-Lincoln had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Mt. Gilead Indians. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Cardington-Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Mt. Gilead, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12-1 record this season.

Cardington-Lincoln will square off against Loudonville at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Redbirds at the right time seeing as the Redbirds are stuck on a six-game losing streak. Mt. Gilead will be paying especially close attention to Cardington-Lincoln's contest: after Cardington-Lincoln faces off against Loudonville, they'll take on Mt. Gilead again at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
