Basketball Recap: Oliver CANNON's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mishawaka Homeschool W over Upper Cumberland

After flying high against Portage Christian last Tuesday, Mishawaka HomeSchool W came back down to earth. The Mishawaka HomeSchool W Wildcats took a 61-47 bruising from the Upper Cumberland Rams on Thursday.

Mishawaka HomeSchool W lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Oliver CANNON, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave him a new career-high. HUDSON BARTH was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 13 points.

Even though they lost, Mishawaka HomeSchool W smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Mishawaka HomeSchool W's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Upper Cumberland, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Coming up, Mishawaka HomeSchool W won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Homefires at 11:10 a.m. on Friday. Mishawaka HomeSchool W is facing Homefires at the right time seeing as Homefires is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Upper Cumberland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
