On Tuesday, Moreau Catholic got the win against American by a conclusive 17-6. The Mariners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Lexi Mejia was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mejia was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alyvia Sifuentes-Parker was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Naomi Chen was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Moreau Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kennedy's offense. They came up short against Newark Memorial on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Marilyn Rivas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Kennedy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nataile Servanda, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Moreau Catholic pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Both Moreau Catholic and Kennedy just can't seem to miss. The Mariners have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Kennedy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
