Trenton was forced to take a big defeat against they on Saturday, they got the better of them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Milan Big Reds as they made off with an 18-4 victory. With that win, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Lauryn Holder spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Trenton got a massive performance out of Emme Febela, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kara Fedea, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Trenton lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Trenton's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Milan, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
Trenton and Milan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Trojans (ranked 42nd) will meet Taylor (ranked 201st) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Milan will square off against Huron at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (41 vs. 137).
