Softball Recap: Kinston Comes Up Short

Kinston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the East Duplin Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

Kinston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KENNADY SUTTON, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple.

Kinston's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for East Duplin, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Kinston will take on North Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Duplin, a feisty cat fight will be fought as East Duplin Panthers challenge Richlands Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. They will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
