Basketball Game Preview: St. Peter's Spartans vs. South Central Trojans

St. Peter is on a three-game streak of home losses, South Central a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The St. Peter's Spartans will host the South Central Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, St. Peter's came up short against Tree of Life Christian and fell 47-37. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 794th, while the Trojans are ranked 267th).

Meanwhile, South Central also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Mansfield Christian by a score of 73-61.

South Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for St. Peter's, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

St. Peter's was taken down by South Central 65-36 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of South Central's Bryan Chaffee, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 boards.
