Volleyball Recap: Boone Victorious

Boone won the last time they faced Jones and things went their way on Friday too. The Braves came out on top against the Fightin' Tigers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Boone not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Jones between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18.

Jeremiah Greenwood paced Boone's offense, picking up nine kills. Greenwood got some help from Jackson Ayoung-Chee and his 11 assists. Ayoung-Chee was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

The victory got Boone back to even at 5-5. As for Jones, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Boone and Jones will both be playing Colonial the next time they take the court. The Fightin' Tigers will head out to face the Grenadiers on Saturday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
