Basketball Recap: Baylor Comes Up Short

Baylor came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Pope John Paul II Knights by a score of 34-32 on Tuesday. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Baylor is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Pope John Paul II, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Baylor will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Pope John Paul II, they will host Girls Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
