Christopher Martinez put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out five batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
