Soccer Game Preview: Clovis North vs. Lindsay

The Clovis North Broncos will take on the Lindsay Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lindsay is hoping to do what Sanger couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Clovis North's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Clovis North ended the year with a bang, routing Sanger 4-1. With the Broncos ahead 3-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

They hit Sanger with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nixon Hansen (2), Brenen Clay, and Carlos Jimenez.

Meanwhile, Lindsay hasn't lost a match since December 13, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They never let Wonderful College Prep Academy onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Wolves are ranked 934th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lindsay's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those eight games. As for Clovis North, their win bumped their record up to 7-1-1.
