Bellaire won the last time they faced Harrison Central, and Zara Harveth did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bellaire Big Reds managed a 45-41 win over the Harrison Central Huskies on Friday thanks in part to Harveth, who went 8 of 14 on her way to 21 points and four steals. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Eliana Mason, who posted four points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Mason is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Harrison Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Sedgmer, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was Lauren Doane, who had seven points in addition to nine boards and three steals.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Bellaire, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Harrison Central, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellaire and Martins Ferry will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Harrison Central will take on Edison in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
