Softball Recap: Nimitz Comes Up Short

Nimitz lost against Pearce last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings lost 15-5 to the Mustangs. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dani Maloney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Chloe Coronado, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Pearce, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12-1 record this season.

Nimitz will venture away from home to challenge Lake Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pearce, they will welcome Eagle Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
