Basketball Game Preview: Trumann Wildcats vs. Tuckerman Bulldogs

The Trumann Wildcats will take on the Tuckerman Bulldogs in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Trumann is looking for their season's first win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Trumann faced off against Brookland on Tuesday. The game between Trumann and Brookland didn't end well, with Trumann falling 50-34. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tuckerman played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They came out on top against Marshall by a score of 63-52. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Bobcats are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trumann's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tuckerman, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Trumann and Tuckerman were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but Trumann came up empty-handed after a 65-64 loss.
