While New Palestine's win against Pendleton Heights wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Arabians 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Arabians: they've now won three in a row.

Holden Hughes looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Kamp, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jesse Isaacs, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

New Palestine's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Pendleton Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

New Palestine has already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on the 19th. As for Pendleton Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-5 victory against Princeton on the 17th.
