Basketball Recap: Reagan Smith Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mackay, Taylor's Crossing was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the American Heritage Patriots 41-17. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Taylor's Crossing to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reagan Smith, who posted 17 points and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Taylor's Crossing's points. Hallee Gorton was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Taylor's Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for American Heritage, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Taylor's Crossing will take on North Gem at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor's Crossing is facing North Gem at the right time seeing as North Gem is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for American Heritage, they will face off against Leadore at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
