Basketball Recap: Frederick W Warriors vs. Bluegrass United Bluehawks
Frederick W saw some tournament action on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-34 victory over the Bluegrass United Bluehawks. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in Maryland, while the Bluehawks are ranked 174th in Kentucky), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bluegrass United's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Allie McGuire, who posted 17 points and seven boards, and Noe Gordon, who put up four points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals.
