Baseball Recap: Clarksville Academy Takes a Loss

Clarksville Academy blew Dickson County out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Dickson County got their revenge. Clarksville Academy fell just short of Dickson County by a score of 6-4. Clarksville Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dickson County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Colton Wallace put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Wallace wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jalon Page, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Clarksville Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Dickson County, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Looking ahead, Clarksville Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Beech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dickson County, they will venture away from home to challenge Oakland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
