While Gunn's victory against Palo Alto wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Gunn sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Palo Alto on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Tess Bogart, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Allison Novick was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

With the victory, Gunn broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Palo Alto, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gunn will welcome Wilcox at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gunn is facing Wilcox at the right time seeing as Wilcox is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Palo Alto, they will host Cupertino at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palo Alto's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cupertino has averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
