Football Game Preview: Navarre Raiders vs. Crestview Bulldogs

The Navarre Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Crestview Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Navarre's defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so Crestview's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Navarre took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They secured a 12-6 W over Fort Walton Beach. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

The critical scores for Navarre came from Jamya Bonham and Natalie Busch.

Navarre didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Avery Didion and Busch.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Crestview's offense. They were outmatched by Pace and fell 34-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since March 5th.

Navarre pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for Crestview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Navarre strolled past Crestview when the teams last played back in February by a score of 19-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
