Basketball Game Preview: Northland Eagles vs. Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida

The Northland Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Northland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Fond du Lac Ojibwe O likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Northland against Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] as the squad secured an 83-53 win.

Meanwhile, Fond du Lac Ojibwe O was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 77-41 defeat at the hands of Cromwell. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

The victory got Northland back to even at 10-10. As for Fond du Lac Ojibwe O, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Northland ended up a good deal behind Fond du Lac Ojibwe O when the teams last played back in March of 2024, losing 84-66. Can Northland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
