Sanford faced Norwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs breezed past the Mavericks to the tune of 54-24. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won six in a row.

Trason Gartrell threw for 36 yards on four of nine attempts. Kaden Cary was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards.
