Softball Recap: Albuquerque Academy Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Albuquerque Academy's offense. They came up short against the Silver Fighting Colts on Saturday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Albuquerque Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Silver, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Albuquerque Academy is taking a road trip to take on Piedra Vista at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Silver, they will square off against Bloomfield at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. Bloomfield has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.17 runs per game on average), something Silver will no doubt try to take advantage of.
