Basketball Recap: Clay Comes Up Short

Clay played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Whitmer Panthers 79-37. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Clay now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Whitmer, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Clay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-63 victory against Evergreen on the 14th. Whitmer will take on Perrysburg in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Whitmer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
