Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Eureka

Eureka entered their tilt with Red Bluff on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 13-10 win over the Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Loggers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sebastian Standish looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eureka got a massive performance out of Robert Williams, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The Loggers are undefeated when Williams posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Alex Jimenez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Eureka always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eureka now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Red Bluff, they moved to 16-10 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eureka beat the Spartans by a score of 8-7 later that day.
