After failing to score in their last game, Broughton made sure to put some goals up on the board against Apex on Monday. They blew past the Cougars 5-1. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of four yellow cards before it was all over.

The victory got Broughton back to even at 1-1-1. As for Apex, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broughton will venture away from home to challenge Heritage at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Apex, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Holly Springs at 6:15 p.m. on September 3.
