Basketball Recap: Frontier Academy Victorious

The third road match was the charm for Frontier Academy, as they earned their first road win of the season. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 63-60 victory from a begrudging Wolverines squad. They have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Valley's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Daniel Guerrero and Caleb Dudley. Guerrero went 8 for 13 on his way to 21 points, while Dudley dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Dudley a new career-high in assists (eight). Anthony Soliz was another key player, putting up eight points.

The win got Frontier Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Frontier Academy will take on Rangely in a tournament on Thursday. Rangely is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. As for Valley, they will host Wellington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley is facing Wellington at the right time seeing as Wellington is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
