Volleyball Recap: Mt. Edgecumbe Takes a Loss

Mt. Edgecumbe lost against Nikiski back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Braves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

While Mt. Edgecumbe was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21.

Mt. Edgecumbe has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14-1 record this season. As for Nikiski, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3-3.

Coincidentally, Mt. Edgecumbe and Nikiski will both be playing Sitka the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Wolves at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Braves will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 30th.
