Football Recap: Highland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Highland extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They took a blow against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles, falling 34-0. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Eagles are ranked 67th).

David Farrow threw for 36 yards on three of ten attempts. On the ground, Anthony Phillips rushed for 53 yards.

As for Bakersfield Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.3 points on average this season.

Darriyon Page continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 112 yards and one score on only ten carries. Jacob Millan made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-14 loss against Independence on the 17th. As for Bakersfield Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-14 win against Bakersfield on the 17th.
