Baseball Recap: Twentynine Palms Takes a Loss

Twentynine Palms lost against Indio back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rajahs. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Twentynine Palms saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Escandon, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Jandell Jiminez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Twentynine Palms' loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Indio, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

While Twentynine Palms had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
