Softball Game Preview: Drew Central Pirates vs. McGehee Owls

The Drew Central Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the McGehee Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Drew Central has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Drew Central's offense. They lost 14-0 to Taylor on Saturday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, McGehee came up short against DeWitt last Tuesday and fell 6-1. The matchup marked the Owls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Drew Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for McGehee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Drew Central couldn't quite get it done against McGehee when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Can Drew Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
